A large Russian Soviet Proletarians of All Countries Unite flag. Circa 1914 to 1924. The red, hand painted flag depicts a symbolic scene and inscribed with a popular slogan of the Soviet Union: Workers of the World Unite and Long Live the Republic of Socialism. At the lower part of the flag is the inscription: Petrograd, Main Workshop of the North Western Railway. On the reverse side is a stamp with the number 8437.
