A twentieth century Hungarian painter, illustrator, and printmaker, Adam Wurtz studied art under the Hungarian artists, Hincz Gyula, Bortnyik Sandor, Por Bertalan, and Charles Koffan, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, Hungary. After Wurtz graduated around 1853, he continued his studies abroad. Wurtz exhibited his art in Hungary, Japan, Russia, Romania, Vienna, the United States, and elsewhere.
