Born in Bologna, Italy Fabio Fabbi became known for his Orientalism, especially harem scenes. He studied at the Academia in Florence and in 1883 became a professor there. Fabbi participated in exhibitions of the Societa Promotrie di Bella Arti in Turin, and in 1898 received the title of Cavaliere della Corona dItalia.
