The badge is in the form of a Maltese cross, covered with green enamel. In the center is the letter N in a wreath tied with a St. George ribbon. On the left side of the cross is P 1, on the right N 2, corresponding to Peter I and Nicholas II. At the top is the date of the regiments creation, 1797, at the bottom is the date 1897.
