A unique lot includes the first cover of The New Yorker Magazine, February 26, 1990, by Rea Irvin (American, 1881-1972).The painting was made according to a well known engraving, which depicted the Comte dOrsay, a Frenchman who lived in England. This gentleman received the fictitious name of Eustas Tilley, which was invented for him by the American comedian Corey Ford. A paper sheet with many signatures and inscribed, Presented to Alice Pease From Her Friends. Framed. Graphic Art Prints, Illustrations, Newspapers, Magazines and Collectibles.

Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. Yellowing, scuffs, damage at edges and corners. Refer to photos. Sold As Is.
